You might've seen these perps on Instagram. Big Monkey (Max) is an official AZ state driver. He had his license all of two days before the 2003 Mini Cooper overheated on his way back from an errand. "She Runs Hot" by Little Village is the song I'm dedicating to this event, and pretty much this whole week. Thank you, Mars retrograde. It was a good thing Monkey and Chia (Stuart) were together--to hear him tell the story you'd think that sky had fallen (wonder where he got that drama from? 🙄). It's also not the first time someone has run up to me about a car smoking or on fire (Seriously! That's a story for another time). That poor car poured steam out for a long time and wasn't drivable by the end of their outing... A little visit to the car shop has started a car pack chain reaction (Get it dog people? When one of the pack gets sick, they all get sick for preservation purposes 🤓😉).
It feels like some sort of portal has opened up--it's a revolving door at the mechanic's for our household. I think he should start a punch card system or a fleet discount for us. At least let me ride his horses, lol. 🐎 The Mini had to be towed on Tuesday--it was undrivable. Chief picked it up Wednesday and left his car for a tune-up. Yesterday we picked up his car and took my car in for something big and ugly that we've been putting off. Revolving door. 🤷🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️ At least no one was hurt, stranded, or in an accident.
The shenanigans were long and hard this week, but that's all she wrote, my friends. It'd be a block-long newsletter and I don't even have the 50 foot emojis to blame 😅. Thanks, again, for hanging around for it all. Enjoy the song. I hope you enjoyed the driving dogs last week! 🐕🚙 Who knew that would be kind of prophetic?
For those of you in the middle of fires or breathing in smoke in the surrounding areas--be safe and take care. For those of you battling who knows what, be gentle with yourself.
I hope everyone is well and that you find something funny, curious, or thought-provoking to brighten your days, especially in these crazy times.
