All is not as it seems
All is not as it seems

Hello, Friday Fools!

I want to wish everyone happy holidays and a happy new year. The last books from my first run went out to the Rustic Reader which was a nice surprise. Michael contacted me out of the blue. I went to high school with his sister who's currently reading my book, so that's a lovely Christmas surprise for me. He recently bought a small used book store in Washington State, so please check him out. I'm wishing him the best of luck with his business! Sending him the last 3 copies I had in stock also allows me to do a new run with a clear conscience of sorts. I'm finishing with a re-edit, new format for the inside, and adjusting the cover. It's essentially the same thing, polished up. It'll be available in January. The digital versions should also update with the new material.

Speaking of updates, my bird got a refresh, too. Beth Norman did the work and she did a fabulous job. You can hire her on Fivver. I wanted something that was similar to the free logo I was using, but I wanted something that was mine. She's new and doesn't have a lot of material posted, but if you check it out you can see that what I have and she normally does isn't the same which means she's flexible and has skill. Her line art for potential birds was really good. My logo is simple but her drawings made me kind of wish I wanted something more complex. Additionally, she's proactive. I think she had my number when she offered up the Santa hat along with the requested cowboy hat--and layered at that. Good call on her part.πŸ‘πŸΌ That means Bird can have as many hats as his heart desires or as mine desires because I suppose I'm the one in charge around here. But that's debatable. At any rate, Beth's awesome like that and enthusiastic. She even made Bird all festive whereas I am not. I was feeling festive right after Thanksgiving, but I've hit some sort of wall. I need to find my mojo. I also need to get back to Jimmy and Josephine. They've been languishing (like that? I could't leave you without the 🀠drama).

So, instead of boring you with crazy antics or clogging your inbox I'm going to bow out until the new year. If you have some thoughts on this newsletter and what you'd like to read and how often, I'm all ears. I'm still entertaining myself, because that's what I seem to do best. πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈπŸ₯³πŸ’œ If you need some help with entertainment or need some new reading material, check out Joyce Miller's new release: Joe Harris, The Moon

Best wishes for the new year.

Take care and thanks for reading The Friday Tomfoolery.
